Free things to do!

Okay; nothing is completely free, however here’s a few activities that cost relatively little and can provide loads of fun and entertainment for the whole family.

Pack a picnic lunch and find a park to venture into, or take your photo with the iconic image in each town.  The main towns have parks and recreational areas open to all.  There are great river access points throughout the district offering swimming and other water activities, beach access is at Scott's Ferry and Turakina.

Throughout Rangitikei you can find Department of Conservation Reserves and Walks just minutes from the State Highways and our main towns.  Put your walking shoes on and discover the peace and tranquility, the wonder of New Zealand’s natural environment.
