A Town Like No Udder!

Afford-a-bull, live-a-bull, shop-a-bull, hospit-a-bull, inform-a-bull, and UNFORGET-A-BULL! It's all poss-a-bull in Bulls!

Nestled in the south of the Rangitikei, Bulls is the gateway to the District when travelling north from Wellington or Palmerston North.

Centrally located in the lower North Island on a strategic intersection of State Highways 1 and 3, Bulls is within easy driving distances to Wellington, Hastings, Taupo and Taranaki and is close to two airports located at Palmerston North and Wanganui. On average 14,000 vehicles per day travel through this town.

A mix of retail shops, cafe’s and numerous eateries provides a haven of relaxed shopping and convenient free parking for local residents, destination shoppers and people travelling through the town. Bulls is also a main stop for intercity buses.

Fashion with Mother of the Bride Tizzies is a destination shop, with other retail such as fantastic giftware, accessories, eateries, great coffee, hairdressers, beauty salon, excellent health and animal care and more – Bulls has so much to offer its customers and any new business looking to take advantage of its relaxed, community style.

A New World development is planned within the next 2 years, which will also incorporate retail space for approximately 3 retailers, a fast food or café of some description together with parking and fuel.

A cross section of houses are available for sale and we have a relaxed rural lifestyle that your family can enjoy within close proximity of excellent education from preschool to secondary school.

Bulls is an Airforce town very close to Ohakea Airbase.  Many defence homes are located in an area of Bulls.

The Rangitikei River flows through the southern end of Bulls. The river is used for swimming, walks and rides along the river bank and for picnics. Long term there is a river plan being implemented which will see a 3 km area developed into a pleasant walking and cycle track, picnic area, native plantings and park benches will complete the area.

Stop in and see the friendly team at Bulls Information Centre, next to the Intercity Bus Terminal.
